Diversity at thyssenkrupp

Diversity at work leads to more creativity, better solutions and higher performance. Therefore, diversity is one of the driving forces for success at TKMC and at thyssenkrupp.

At TKMC we put special emphasis on diversity. The TKMC team consists of a mix of different personalities with different backgrounds. This kind of diversity is the basis for the success of our global projects and contributes to our special team spirit – which makes us proud.

Diversity plays a key role for the thyssenkrupp Group as well. Values like diversity and appreciation play a central role in our Group and are the driving forces behind our activities: diversity is the foundation of our performance; mutual appreciation is foundation of our cooperation.

We emphasize this aspect by signing the ‘Charter of Diversity’ on www.charta-der-vielfalt.de. thyssenkrupp signed the common declaration of German DAX 30 companies, which underlines our effort for diversity, fairness and appreciation. We are proud to be part of this initiative, advocated and supported by the Federal Government under the patronage of Chancellor Angela Merkel.

An example of the high significance of diversity in our Group is the topic ‘Women and Technology”. It is not only men’s world anymore: female engineers are an integral part of our working environment and take over responsibility in different areas. The cooperation with Femtec, a network supporting women in sciences and technology, is an important commitment for thyssenkrupp, as female talents are essential for science and economy.

Pushing forward diversity and appreciation are daily tasks, which we take very seriously at thyssenkrupp – and consider them as a large part of our success.
